This is the seventh installment of the Tomb Raider series and the first not to have been developed by UK studio Core Design. The decision of Eidos responds to disappointing sales and critical reception of the disastrous previous album, The Angel of Darkness.Tomb Raider: Legend is a video game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Eidos Interactive. Mixture of action-adventure and platforms, the game is released for the PlayStation 2, PC, Xbox and Xbox 360 in April 2006. It has subsequently been ported to GameCube, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable with the help of Buzz Monkey Software and HumanSoft.

STORY

The story centers on the young British adventurer Lara Croft, her investigation into the disappearance of his mother and his search for the fragments of Excalibur, the sword of King Arthur. His investigation began in Bolivia and takes him to various parts of the world. During her adventure, she is confronted with a ghost from her past who also covets the legendary artifact.At the beginning of the game, Lara is in Bolivia to explore a pre-Inca civilization, Tiwanaku. She is looking for a stone base engraved on information from her friend Anaya There, she meets mercenaries, who have orders to attack on sight She finally arrive at an ancient temple. At the other end, she discovers the stone base, and met James Rutland. It displays a fragment of the sword, and mentions Paraíso and Amanda, Lara believed dead. After another fight, during which flees Rutland, Lara examines the base at any point similar to that seen in Nepal.

Looking for clues, Lara travels to Paraíso, Peru, and there found Anaya. After an attack by the mercenaries, they go where the archaeological site with other friends of the university they were excavating. Lara remembers the tragedy that occurred, she and Amanda attended the massacre of their team by a mysterious entity. Amanda managed to remove the creature by removing a shining stone wall, which caused a landslide that inundated the cavern. Lara was then forced to flee, leaving Amanda behind her, presumably dead.By exploring the site again, Lara discovers that Amanda has survived the collapse and that the relic that research seems to be part of a monomyth linked to the Arthurian legend, it also carries a fragment of the sword is the hands of Shogo Takamoto Yakuza leader, after he has stolen from Waseda University.
